Police arrest suspect in Dearborn Heights double shooting

Man arrested after double shooting in Dearborn Heights

The Dearborn Heights police department made an arrest several hours after two people were shot at an apartment building in the city. The suspect was a female victim's ex-partner.

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (FOX 2) - Dearborn Heights police made an arrest in Detroit several hours after a double shooting in their city. 

What they're saying:

On May 18 around 10:30 a.m., Dearborn Heights police were called to a house in the 4100 block of Weddell for multiple shots fired.

Arriving officers found a man and a woman who had been shot. Police identified the suspect as the woman's ex-boyfriend, Ashante Linelli-Ramon Mcafee.

Officials say he fled the scene in a white Ford F-150 and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

A few hours later police made an arrest in the area of Plymouth and Heydan Streets in Detroit. 

What we don't know:

The conditions of the victims are not yet known.
